UCOPA to Hold Class for New and Aspiring Chiefs

The Utah Chiefs of Police Association is providing training to new police chiefs and supervisory officers interested in becoming a police chief. The training will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 through Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City.

Utah Chiefs of Police Association to Provide Two Scholarships

Once again the Utah Chiefs of Police Association is offering scholarships for the children of full-time Utah police officers. The scholarships are $1,000 each. The deadline for applying is June 1, 2016. For more information and application forms go here.


Utah Communications Authority Looking for Committee Members

The Utah Communications Authority (UCA) is looking for members to serve on technical advisory committees. If you, or someone you know, is interested in serving on the 911 Committee, Radio Committee or Interoperability Committee see the attached letter for instructions on how to apply. 2016 Utah Chiefs of Police Associaiton Conference Recap

We hope you enjoyed the Annual Conference this year! We had great speakers and the training was top notch. At the Annual Banquet we heard Utah Chiefs-6112from Amanda Dickson, KSL Radio, and Tore Steen, the co-founder of the Utah 10-33 Foundation.

Awards were given to the Officer of the Year winners from small, medium and large agencies. Also, awards were given to this year’s Chief of Police of the Year for Small Agencies. To see the winners and learn more, click here.
