Chief Chad Smith (Lehi) is planning to retire early in September. He has been a faithful friend and UCOPA Board member for years now, and we wish him the very best. Chad currently represents Region 2 as one of our vice presidents. His retirement leaves an opening on the board for a chief from one of the following counties: Juab, Millard, Daggett ,Carbon, Duchesne, Emery, Grand, Sanpete, Wasatch, Sevier, Summit, Uintah, or Utah. This vacancy will be filled by appointment by our President, Chief Wade Carpenter.
Additionally, Chad has been serving as our representative on the Special Olympics board. The Board replacement may be asked to serve on that committee; OR, if any of you would be interested in the Special Olympics board even if you are in a county not represented by Region 2, let us know. For the most efficient way to communicate your desire to serve on the UCOPA board and/or the Special Olympics board, please communicate directly to Wade Carpenter
